Baptism

FAQs

What is baptism?

Water baptism is a public demonstration of your new life and identity in Christ. By being baptized, you give visible expression to what God has done for you spiritually by uniting you with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:14).

When do baptisms take place?

We schedule baptisms during the summer months, but we will baptize new believers anytime upon request.

Where do baptisms take place?

We normally do them in backyard pools. As a church family, we celebrate each baptism followed by a cookout and pool party.

What do I wear into the water?

It is recommended that you wear a swimsuit or shorts and a t-shirt. Dark-colored tops are the most modest when they get wet.

Do I have to prepare anything?

It’s not necessary but it’s a great opportunity to share how you came to this point of faith in Jesus and being baptized.
